DESCRIPTION:                                

Creates all high-quality, on-brand designs for a variety of marketing and communications materials, including print and digital deliverables using Adobe Creative Suite software. Listens to design needs, generates ideas and creates concepts for campaigns. Solely handles College graphic design projects including direct mail, print ads, Program and Career Guide, CareerFocus (print), President’s Report, viewbook, college and workforce development catalogs, college branding, brochures, business cards, posters, presentations, logos and event materials. Creates concepts for campaigns as well as handles day-to-day projects for external audiences that align with PR, social media, design, and marketing. Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review. Prepares budget estimates for print projects, develops printing specifications and obtains quotes to award projects to vendors. Tracks work accurately in project request management system and adopts established project management methods and versioning protocols to ensure efficient collaboration among team members. Consults with team members as needed on complex or specialized projects. Keeps abreast of industry trends as it relates to design, marketing and communication channels and associated tools, techniques and platforms. Coordinates placement of advertising in electronic, media, publications and special events. Participates in the creation of promotional strategies for college-sponsored events. Provides support in planning and executing special events and projects carried out by the department as assigned. Manages external signage to include permanent outside sign updates, external building signs, boulevard banners, event signs, vinyl banners, tablecloths, photo backdrops, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:                        

A high school diploma and experience in graphics.

SALARY:                                            

$30,000 – $36,000
