Central Carolina Technical College adapts to changes brought on by COVID-19

SUMTER, SC — Central Carolina Technical College is adjusting to changes in operation brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. Current CCTC students are finishing their Spring semester in an online format. The college is currently offering a broad range of online courses for the summer term which includes approximately 120 general education, business and computer technology courses that are scheduled to begin in one of three different summer terms. Summer semester’s five-week term starts May 18, 10-week term starts May 26 and eight-week term starts June 1. The 10-week and eight-week terms include all of the college’s various program courses in addition to other general education courses offered face-to-face at one of the college’s campuses. If these terms are impacted by COVID-19, these courses will begin in an online format and then transition to face-to-face when allowable. CCTC is preparing to provide this flexibility so students have the potential to have the class delivery method they prefer.

All of the college’s normal services will continue to be offered online, including tutoring, testing and counseling. This also includes financial aid and registration assistance. We are here to help our students continue their education through this difficult time.
