Students on academic warning or probation are limited to no more than thirteen (13) registered hours for the following semester. After all grades have been submitted at the end of the semester, the student’s academic standing will be calculated based on the student’s performance for the semester. If the student’s performance places the student back into good standing, the hours will be increased to a maximum of eighteen (18) registered hours.
Students on academic suspension will not be permitted to register for classes for the semester following suspension. A student who has preregistered for classes will be dropped from all classes. A student who is dropped from their classes due to suspension may re-enroll after sitting out for one semester (fall semester, spring semester, summer semester) of suspension; however, the student must see an admissions counselor before they return and register for classes. A student who returns following suspension will be on return from suspension status and will not be permitted to register for more than seven (7) hours without written approval from the Academic Appeals Committee.
At the end of each semester Student Records will notify students placed on academic warning, probation, or suspension via myCCTC email. A student who wishes to appeal his or her suspension status due to extenuating circumstances is required to submit an academic appeal to Student Records by the close of business on the Wednesday before classes begin.
Students may access their current semester and cumulative GPA, grades, and other academic information through myCCTC.
