COURSE DESCRIPTION

Basic Introduction to Computers is a course is for people who have never or rarely used a computer, though computer users will learn many new things too. Students will learn the physical parts of a computer (CPU, keyboard, monitor, mouse, etc.) and how they work. How to navigate the Microsoft windows desktop platform, the file and folder management system, Microsoft windows edge internet explorer and google. We will explore using computer programs to connect to the internet and introduce you to electronic mail (email). We will also cover security issues and suggestions for protecting your identity.
