Course Description
Provides students with a basic understanding of infant & toddler development and care from an ecological perspective. Assessment of children in various settings is emphasized. Students are required to participate in a practicum in infant & toddler development and care which includes service learning. Within the parameters of an approved articulation agreement, this course may transfer to an accredited Education program at a comprehensive four-year college or university. Prerequisites with a grade of “XC” or higher: RWR 032 or satisfactory placement into RWR 100. Student must contact Early Care and Education Program advisor prior to registration to complete required paperwork. This course is typically taught only in the fall and spring semesters.
