Course Description: This program consists of 14 class sessions. Each session will be conducted by a South Carolina attorney. Topics include: overview of state courts, alternative dispute resolution, juvenile justice and child protection, family law, real estate/landlord tenant law, wills, estates and probate, health care and elder law, SC workers’ compensation law, employment law, bankruptcy law, consumer law & debt collection, criminal law, and torts. Participants are not required to attend every session, but certificates of completion will be awarded to participants who attend every session. A list of speakers and topics will be provided prior to the course start date.

Course Delivery: This program will be delivered via Zoom. Participants will need a computer or laptop with reliable internet. Using a phone or tablet is possible, but not recommended.

Cost: $50 per person and includes course materials. Participants will need to pick-up the course materials at CCTC’s AMTTC (853 Broad St., Sumter) prior to the course start date. Materials may be mailed for $7.50.
