CCTC Foundation art gallery is now accepting submissions
SUMTER, SC — The Central Carolina Techincal College Foundation Gallery of Art and Expression is having an opening reception on May 9, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in The Upstairs Gallery on the second floor of Building M500 on the Main Campus in Sumter. Submissions for this event are now being accepted from faculty, staff and students, artists in the four-county service area, and artists who have or have had an association with the college. Artwork will be on display from May 9 to July 31, 2017.
There is no overarching theme for this exhibit; rather this event will display many different styles, themes, and textures. There will be no charge to display artwork or to attend the opening reception. Since space is limited, not all artwork can be accepted and not more than two works will be accepted from any one artist. A submission form is required for each item. Artists must submit the form and picture of the artwork to reedjt@cctech.staging.wp.collegeinbound.com by May 1, 2017. An advisory committee of faculty and staff will review requests for submission. Artists will be notified of the selection decision via the contact information specified on the Submission Form.
Artwork to be included in the exhibit must be delivered to the Central Carolina Library on Main Campus by May 5 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Artists must personally arrange the delivery of artwork with Jason Reed, Head Librarian, at 803-778-7851 or reedjt@cctech.staging.wp.collegeinbound.com so that he can be available to receive the artwork. After the exhibit, artists must pick up their artwork by August 7, 2017.
