Surgical Technology grads have 100 percent pass rate on exam
Central Carolina Technical College reports that 100 percent of 2018 graduates of the Surgical Technology Program have passed the National Certification for Surgical Technologists (CST) examination on the first attempt. This is the seventh year that Brie Weber Academic Program Manager for Surgical Technology has produced a 100 percent pass rate.
“We congratulate the students whose hard work has paid off, “said Weber. “The passing of the certification exam is strong evidence of the quality of our curriculum and our staff who are determined to provide the training necessary for student success.”
CCTC’s Health Sciences Division offers an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a major in Nursing, Diplomas in Medical Assisting and Surgical Technology, and certificates in Massage Therapy, Medical Record Coding, Pharmacy Technician, and Patient Care Technician. Health Sciences programs are designed to provide graduates with immediate employment in the health care industry or prepare graduates to transfer to articulating colleges.
