CCTC Foundation receives grant from Wells Fargo Bank
The Central Carolina Technical College Foundation recently received a $2,000 grant from Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., that will provide assistance to the college’s Job Training and Workforce Development initiatives, specifically equipment for CCTC’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Training Center (AMTTC). Wells Fargo Bank has been a generous partner with the CCTC Foundation for many years; assisting in enhancing academic excellence by providing resources to support state-of-the-art equipment and instruction. “The Central Carolina Technical College Foundation takes pride in acknowledging its partners who make it possible for the Foundation to support the missions of Central Carolina Technical College,” says Foundation Executive Director Meree McAlister.
Wells Fargo associates, Susan B. Bankson, Community Affairs Office – South Carolina and Marvin E. Robinson Jr., Vice President Business Relationship Manager, joined CCTC’s Dean of Industrial and Engineering Technology Brent Russell and Foundation Executive Director Meree McAlister at the AMTTC to present the recent gift.
“At Wells Fargo, we fully believe that supporting education is one of the most important investments we can make in our state’s future,” says Robinson. “We are honored to work together with educational organizations like Central Carolina Technical College to help create a competitive workforce and a sustainable economy for generations to come.”
The college’s Job Training and Workforce Development initiatives offer resources to help students find employment with a livable wage and teach students how to excel in the workplace. CCTC’s manufacturing technology enhances the learning experience of students, including disadvantaged and first-generation college students, as they progress to careers in business and industry in the college’s service area.
