Pearl Fryar awards scholarships to CCTC students
Friends of Pearl Fryar’s Topiary Garden have generously supported the Central Carolina Technical College Foundation Scholarship Program since 2008. Scholarship awards are designated for two Lee County students, with a preference given to one student from Lee Central High School and one student from Robert E. Lee Academy. This year’s recipients are Tatyana Williams who is enrolled in the Criminal Justice Technology program and Noah Mozingo entering the Automotive Technology program.
Central Carolina Technical College Foundation operates exclusively for charitable educational purposes as a 501(c)3 organization. Generous support from many benefactors provides funding for scholarships that are awarded to CCTC students through the Foundation Scholarship Program. Benefactors include individuals, companies, clubs and organizations. Scholarships may be undesignated or the donor may designate certain criteria for the award.
“This is a wonderful opportunity that the Friends of Pearl Fryar’s Topiary Garden have provided for the last ten years. Pearl Fryar has spent his life shaping these beautiful garden sculptures and now these scholarships will help shape these young minds for the future. We’re very proud and excited about these students joining us at Central Carolina,” says CCTC President Dr. Michael Mikota.
