Rodney Conyers

When Rodney Conyers left the military, he was told by fellow veterans that Central Carolina is the best path to higher education.

“CCTC is the starting point of your race in life, your race in academics and your race in a successful career,” Conyers said. “You determine where the finish line will be.”

Conyers earned his Associate of Arts degree from CCTC in 1997. He then earned his bachelor’s degree in social work from Coker University and later earned his master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. He currently works as a mental health professional at Santee Wateree Mental Health Center in Camden and serves as a pastor at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church.

We are proud of each and every one of our alumni! For more information on the CCTC Alumni Partnership or to share your story, contact Mary Copeland Heath at 803-774-6707 or alumni@cctech.staging.wp.collegeinbound.com.
